Planning: Detailed risk assessment

Risk assessment:

During the filming and editing of our music video, there are certain precautions that we must take to ensure that we keep ourselves as well as the equipment safe.

Camera:
During the actual filming of the video, while we are travelling to our locations, we will have to take extra care of the camera. We will have to make sure that we never leave the camera unattended at any time. This is because we'd like to eliminate the chances of getting the camera lost or stolen. Also, to avoid theft, we will try to keep the camera as hidden as possible (in its bag at all times unless filming).

Toplight:
While using the Toplight, we must ensure that it is secured properly onto the camera to avoid it falling off and damaging. We must also be sure to carry spare batteries in case the power runs out.

Tripod:
We will use a tripod to film one section of the music video. While the tripod is in use, we must be sure so check that the legs of the tripod are secure before placing the camera on top. Failure to do so could possibly result in the damaging of a camera. Also, while we are filming with the tripod, care must be taken when moving around it to prevent tripping over its legs.

Us:
When we are filming outside in busy areas where there are lots of people, we must be sure to stay off of busy streets. This is because a lot of people will be constantly going past and we may be in their way. We will also try to avoid cyclists, this is because if they do not see us and they're travelling at a fast speed an accident could happen.
