Research: Analysis of three digi pack

I will be looking at three digi packs from different artists who make music from the same genre as the music we have chosen. The genre of the music both the digi packs and our music are from is House music. Looking at these digi pack will help give me ideas for my own digi pack.

This is Rudimental's front cover of their album. The theme of this album is the streets of London. This goes with the title of the album which is called "Home". The main focus of this front cover is the graffiti. This really stands out because of how colourful it is and it also stands out from the blue sky and grey pavement. The placement of the name of the group is at the top-center which catches the eyes easily and the name of the group is always written in this way so it would be easy for their audience to recognise that this is their album. The placement of the name of the album is at the bottom right corner. It's not big and it's not bold which means that the name of the album is not as important as the name of the artists who made the album which means the two main focuses are the name of the artist and the colourful graffiti wall.

This is the back of Rudimental's album. The back of the album goes with the theme that they have going which is capturing the streets of London. The tracklist has been written on a street plate and it is against a grey wall which follows the colours that are on the front cover. The font that was used to write the name of the group is the same font that they used to write the tracklist.

This is Calvin Harris's album called "18 Months". This album is similar to Rudimental's album because just like them, Clavin Harris's album setting is on the streets. This picture also has the blue sky and grey pavement but on the pavement, the artist is sitting there looking away from us. The placement of the name of the artist name and the name of the album has been placed in the center where the wall is so it could stand out.

At the back of the album is an extreme long shot of Calvin Harris in the same place as the front of the cover but this time, he is looking towards us. Just like Rudimental's album and most albums, the same font used on the front has been used to write the tracklist.

This album is by Solange and it is called "True". This album cover is very odd as everything is red. there are two shades of red and it is really hard to read. You have to very close to see what is written. Its just a plain red front cover. I think the purpose of making it like this is to catch people's and make them pick it up to read it. Solange is known for being Beyonce's sister and making few music but she is not well know for her to make her album like Calvin Harris so maybe this is why her album is like this.

The back of the album is all black with the text being black but just a bit brighter so you can read it. It is still hard to see though. The font used for the tracklist is the same font that is used on the front cover. Like the front of the cover, the back is also very plain only using one colour.
